Photo Specifications
:
It is our desire to
provide you the highest quality magazine, a reflection of the properties
you represent. Therefore, photo images must be handled very carefully
to retain our consistent quality. There are several recommended means
of photo submission:
- We Highly Recommend
You Hire a Professional Photographer.
The industry standard
is to create photographs in medium or large format chromes, which will
render optimal quality for reproduction in our magazine. A professional
photographer will best portray the property by accentuating its architectural
elements and manipulating lighting and camera angle for the best possible
result.
- For extra dramatic images,
which may be taken during twilight, it is best to hire a professional
as well. This will give the home a warm, glowing, welcoming look.
The results may be spectacular, but the photography is challenging.
- It is our recommendation
that you purchase the negatives from the photographer, providing
you repeat usage and full rights of ownership.
- Digital
Images are Welcome.
When taking digital images, please be sure to set your resolution to
the highest possible setting for your camera. Minimum settings
are as follows:
- 4 x 6 image @ 300dpi -
1200 x 1800 pixels
- 5 x 7 image @ 300dpi -
1500 x 2100 pixels
- Cover image @ 300dpi -
9.25" x 11.25" - 2775 x 3338 pixels
- 35mm Prints are Accepted.
Please have your photos printed
with a standard glossy surface. Make sure they are not printed on matte
paper.
- Cover Images Require
The Highest Quality. The
finished size and clarity demands of the cover image, requires that
all images under consideration for the cover be submitted in
a digital format, at the highest settings.
